Vampire hunter Calla has spent her life fighting bloodsuckers, just like all the women in her family before her, and she’s enjoyed every second. I so enjoyed this book!! The Narrator is good but sometimes the characters voices sounded the same. it has a slow burn with some spice and a lot of goodness. There is some chuckles, sadness, anger and happiness.

I truly enjoy the perspective Tallie Rose takes on fantasy. Calla's Falling is unapologetically sapphic and gives a fun and interesting twist on both vampires and the classic fairytale. While Calla is often the petulant and unreliable hero Isolde accuses her of being, I really enjoyed this story overall.

This was a nice retelling of Beauty and the Beast. However, much of the storyline seemed forced and character conversations unnatural sounding. Still, I’m happy to have listened.
