Citation for Murder is an entertaining "ride-along" with a Private Investigator in southern California that kept me listening on the edge of my seat. Told with the right amount wit and humor in the style of Carl Hiassen (Florida), or the "hold on for dear life" style of adventure found in Hunter S. Thompson (without the drugs), the engaging story does bring in colorful characters to feel like you can relate to them as a distant family member of sorts.

Of course many will visualize a similarity to the 1980's character Magnum P.I. driving the palm lined streets, the author has given the lead character his own distinct and unpretentious style that fits comfortably among the well worn vinyl seats at a Hollywood diner sipping coffee while waiting for the customer at the counter to abandon his newspaper so that he may follow his next lead towards the week's new adventure.
