This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
I’ve always been the outsider. Human in a world of wolves. Found and raised by the woman who loved me as her own—but never accepted by the pack she called family.

Now Troy, my childhood bully, is Alpha.
He chains me. Breaks me.
Promises I won’t survive his reign.

Until Night takes me.
The rival Alpha. My enemy.
The wolf who calls me mate.

Troy wants me back and broken.
Night would tear the world apart to keep me.

And I have to choose between surrendering to save the mother who raised me… and the man who makes me feel like I finally belong.

Claimed by the Rival Alpha is the complete Mated to the Night series in one irresistible collection. This special edition bundles all three books into a single, unputdownable volume—no cliffhangers, no waiting, and no tossing your eReader across the room in frustrated longing. Just the full, dark, swoony, fated-mates romance from start to finish in one binge-worthy package.

Get comfy… this rival Alpha’s love story is about to claim you.

The story was pretty good but had to turn it off because the AI narration is TERRIBLE! It gets inflection wrong, it says the wrong word when it’s a multiple meaning word (ex. “She had tears running down her face” was said using the word “tear” as in you could tear the paper in half). When someone is stuttering “w w what do you mean” when someone was very nervous the AI narration said the actual name of each letter “w” then the word “what.” I couldn’t believe how bad it was.

TERRIBLE NARRATION

If you love audio books because they come alive when listening to them, do not get this one. It is the voice of a woman, no inflection, no differences in ANY of the characters, including the men. It is basically just read by what sounds like a robot. I like the storyline, but not sure if I like it enough to get the written version on Kindle.
(the sex scenes are hilarious when read by this AI robot)

AI virtual voice is awful

I did not realize that I had read these books before individually until I started reading this book. Because of this if you want to see the full review on each book, you will have to go to the individual books on good reads, because I’m not going to put a review on the book here. I did listen to this book on Audible and it was narrated by AI. This was interesting because there were words that were mispronounced, but not very many, but it sounded almost like a human reading it.

Good

The challenges the characters and how they worked through them. Not a fan of AI narration, the lack of the emotion and the very many mistakes. If you can make through that the story can be enjoyed.

Love story.
