"I have suffered every day since, cast off, abandoned, tortured ... and I find it all for nothing. You worship a lie. Too long I accepted you, treated you as an equal. But you're not. You're nothing, and at last I see it ... friend."

Stripped of his power, and branded a renegade by his Order, Darius seeks a way to prove his god is not the bloodthirsty deity his fellows have created. Meanwhile Jerico takes refuge with a band of rebels as Dark Paladins scour Dezrel seeking to claim his life, and the lives of all who would help him. As the silent war rages, their faith is tested, and one will succumb to the promises of a prophet who has lived for centuries.

This is my second time through this book, first time on Kindle, and I still love it. The way Justice and Mercy are woven together in this book is just great! If you are a fan of Paladins or Warriors of Faith and how that Faith is lived out in a fantasy world then this is the series for you!

Great Second Book

the second novel in the series is a lovely follow up to the first book. the scale of things begin to ramp up, larger enemy forces, more powerful characters keep popping up. the paladins Jericho and Darius find themselves both in the middle of a holy war and must look to their faiths to guide them. both face difficult choices that the war forces upon them.

great follow-up

I found the first book as a choose your own adventure style story on my the Google play store and I really enjoyed the story and wanted to see where it went. so when I found out audible had the second book in the series I was excited. until I bought it that is. the narrator is terrible and it really brings the story down and makes me wish I saved my credit and bought the ebook instead.

not terrible
