Been on my too read list for a while, so I'm very glad this audiobook came out. Reddit was right the books are better than the show. Really pleased with the reader's performance and hoping we get the rest of the series in audiobook form.

They made anime Kiyotaka a psychopath, novel Kiyotaka is cunning but caring (cares about having a normal highschool life surrounded by friends). he’s trying to be normal, experience human connection which the white room could never provide him.
Novel Kiyotaka is gloomy, unsure & awkward, anime Kiyotaka is indifferent, a user & a big manipulator (I like that, too)
I love novel Kiyotaka’s friendship, instead of being self-centered & using everyone he share his thoughts/plans - he collaborates (mostly w/ my girl Suzune). Novel Kiyotaka & Suzune jokes around & laugh unlike their icy anime version.
novel Suzune is stronger & smarter and Kiyotaka admire her & gravitate to her even without meaning to. I love that they’re both friendless in the beginning and now they’re like joined in the hip.

great Novel, is just that female actors being voiced by a male voice always make it a little bit awkward, I would prefer a female voice to do those dialogues, not a big deal whatsoever though

the audible version of this audiobook is missing material. I'm not sure if you know but seven seas entertainment has to re revise several books as they were missing 70 pages of translation

It’s clear that the MC has a lot of personal problems and while he says he wants no trouble he keeps sticking his nose into it. I don’t know what the MC thinks of himself but it’s clear that he has a bit of self loathing that seems to be invisible to everyone else.
