I really enjoyed the characters building from the 1st book in the series. Sad I’ve read all of them. 😢

Great murder mystery

You can tell that this is pure fiction because that is the only way the main characters survived. Both the male lead, a US Marshall and the female lead made one TSTL decision after the next to the point that I was rolling my eyes even though no one could see me. It did deal with some difficult topics like spousal abuse, adoption, serial killers, family enabling, etc. The story had faith interwoven throughout. Not this author’s best and probably the worst in the series. All that being said, I liked Vince and I like the reprisals from characters from previous books.
