Ian Wright is carjacked by a cartel that has been wreaking havoc for decades on innocent families and is killed. He finds himself reborn as a powerful angel - or so he thinks. He is told by another angel that there is a holy war brewing between God and God's brother Teloch, and pure souls are needed for God's army - just as evil souls are needed for Teloch's army. However, before he can ask any real questions, events escalate, which leaves him questioning his next steps.

Ian decides to test his newfound powers out to take down the very cartel that killed him. With the help from his best friend Jaxon Newman, they are able to ascertain some of Ian's abilities to bring the fight to the cartel. Through this conflict, Ian realizes that there is far more going on behind the scenes then he could have ever imagined.

Crown of Thorns Awakening was a surprising book. The story was a dark roller coaster of comedy, horror, action, and sci-fy. The character range and creativity was so unique, I honestly think the book got better the farther along I listened. The narrator Brian Avers performance was stellar, great character identity and range!
Overall really enjoyed this book and look forward to the authors next in this series!

Epic Fantasy! Dark and Twisted!

Starts out scattered and had a hard time sticking with it. Then the plot and characters settled down. Sorta cool how there us such a mix of witches, archangels, demons, werewolves, ect.

Mythical beings abound.
