When Amy Daughters reconnected with her old pal Dana on Facebook, she had no idea how it would change her life. Though the two women hadn’t had any contact in 30 years, it didn’t take them long to catch up—and when Amy learned that Dana’s son Parker was doing a second stint at St. Jude battling cancer, she was suddenly inspired to begin writing the pair weekly letters.

When Parker died, Amy—not knowing what else to do—continued to write Dana. Eventually, Dana wrote back, and the two became pen pals, sharing things through the mail that they had never shared before. The richness of the experience left Amy wondering something: If my life could be so changed by someone I considered “just a Facebook friend”, what would happen if I wrote all my Facebook friends a letter?

A whopping 580 handwritten letters later Amy’s life, and most of all her heart, would never ever be the same again. As it turned out, there were actual individuals living very real lives behind each social media profile, and she was beautifully connected to each of those extraordinary, flawed people for a specific reason. They loved her, and she loved them. And nothing—not politics, beliefs, or lifestyle—could separate them.

I'm not even sure i can finish another 6 hours of listening to this. seems like a great story but there's no way that a human is reading ( performing ) this. it is NOT natural to pause between every 2 words with no consciousness of phrasing! ughhhhhhh

worst AI narrator ever

I enjoyed the concept of the book, but I did not enjoy the reading. I wish it was just read in a natural tone.

Good concept

Great inspirational ideas about connecting with God’s love

Narrator was a little stilted in parts but improved. Recommend

The concept of this book was very interesting - writing letters to each of the author's Facebook friends.

I ended up finishing this in Kindle because this narrator is one of the worst I have listened to. It sounds like it is AI doing the narration. Very stilted throughout the entire book. It is very annoying.

Do not recommend getting this on audio unless you can borrow it from your library for free.

Good content; TERRIBLE NARRATOR

I truly enjoyed this book and hearing about the impact it made on her own life, as well as the lives of the people she was writing letters to. Facebook and other social media has changed how we communicate. This open med my eyes to how important it is to still send handwritten letters. ❤️

Inspirational!
