What do you do when the one you least expect to matter…
Ends up mattering the most?
Derek Pearson likes to think he's an easygoing guy. Uncomplicated, upfront, and unapologetic with what he wants. His what you see is what you get attitude is on prominent display for anyone who cares to look, and his foul mouth is right there to back it up should you miss the point.
However, what you see isn't always what you get, and only a select few have ever glimpsed the real man under the brash exterior.
Among them? Professor Jordan Devaney. Complicated, high-maintenance, and vibrant, he's Derek's opposite in every way. From the moment they saw each other, a love-hate relationship began.
But what happens when one person wants more?

This was one of my first M/M Romances by Ella Frank. I’ve read and loved the book, and I was curious to see how it would be as an audiobook.
The story spans over many years. I enjoyed this author’s writing. It flowed well and got me hooked from the start. I’m glad how these are two openly gay characters and the conflict is something other than one of them admitting he likes men. I liked how Derek and Jordan’s relationship changed over the years. It’s definitely a slow build and the sexual tension is obvious to anyone who spends a little time with them in the same room.
This story was told in dual point of views by one narrator. I think he did a great job in giving personality to the characters and conveying their emotions. It was also easy to distinguish the two main characters’ voices from each other. A great narration in overall!
