This was fantastic! The highs and lows, some very intense moments, and a few tears along the way. This was a very compelling and captivating story that had me invested in these two quickly. What a wonderful ride! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrators were excellent in bringing the characters and story to life. Benjamin's voice had me melting.

Sophie lost her dad at age 12. She has adopted the opinion of her mother that The Family was the cause of her father’s death, is no good, and to be avoided.

At age 25 working as a massage therapist, her current customer is Joey LaTorre, step-brother of the ruling don. One never quite leaves The Family, and this is a check-in. Joey was kind to Sophie when she was younger and grown-up sparks fly when she puts her hands on him. Sophie understands the Family life, even though she resents it, between that and her spitfire attitude Joey is intent on winning her over.

Balancing commitments, family, work and a relationship create a wonderful story between these two. An absolutely entertaining and intriguing read!!

I read the story early, and just listened to the audio - it is so well done, and a great way to revisit this made man romance.
