She's not the girl next door anymore. Bellamy swore she’d never go back to La Conner. But the most powerful criminal in Portland (and her boss) wants her head, and there’s only one person who can protect her… if she can bring herself to ask him for help. Chance Erickson spent the last ten years believing Bellamy was dead. When she barrels back into his life, very much alive, she brings trouble with her. But Bellamy’s not innocent… and the traumatic events of 10 years ago may not be dead and buried. To save Bellamy, Chance must unravel the mystery of her disappearance - and Bellamy must choose between keeping the door closed on the past and trusting Chance with her future. "My heart was racing!" "Suspenseful and engaging from the beginning to the very end." Contemporary Romantic Suspense Exciting Heartfelt Fiction

The book was very good with the storyline moving along at a good pace. Decent character development. The virtual voice is so hard to keep up with. The voices barely change so a lot of times, you have no idea who is speaking. I listened when I was driving but read it when I wasn't. The virtual voice just distracts from the storyline too much!

Good book with good storyline
