Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
Duty was supposed to be simple—until she walked into his mission.

Ethan Cross doesn’t get emotionally involved. As the head of Citadel Solutions, he handles high-stakes security with military precision and zero distractions. Protecting international pop star Nova Rivers from a dangerous stalker? Just another job.

Until he meets her sister.

Melanie Rivers is the quiet force behind Nova’s chaotic empire—efficient, invisible, and utterly selfless. She’s spent her life in the shadows, sacrificing her dreams to hold her family together.

But Ethan notices what no one else does—the way she shoulders everyone’s burdens without complaint, the quiet fire burning beneath her calm exterior. She’s not the client. She’s not part of the mission. Yet the longer he’s near her, the harder it gets to remember the lines he swore he’d never cross.

But in an industry full of secrets, danger lurks closer than anyone suspects. And one wrong move could cost them everything.

He was hired to keep one woman safe… but the one he can’t stop thinking about might be the one who brings him to his knees.

Great story with all the elements that make an exciting and engaging book. Using a female and male virtual voice made it better too. Surprisingly good virtual narration. Highly recommend.

So good!

I loved everything about the book except the AI narration. Mispronounced words, wrong inflections, same voice for all characters- threw me out of the story multiple times as I tried to figure out who was speaking and what they were trying to say. The story (wanting to know what happened next) kept me going. I like this series and would buy every book in it but not with AI narration.

Great Story Bad Narration

Story was good and flowed fairly well however this was by far the worst narration of any book I've listened to. Voice was flat, use of the wrong pronunciation was rampant. I had to force myself to continue.
NO more virtual narration for me!!!

Good try...

The story was great the performance was horrible I would have given it a 0 but I was unable I gave it only a 1 because the AI generated reader was so poor at reading with feelings. Sounding like a happy teenage girl when it should've been Excitement, terror or anger. There is a difference in all these Voice sounds .

Should have been a live reader

Virtual voice inflections very difficult to listen to! Mispronunciations and inflections are very distracting. Voicing all parts of contractions is laughable, making listening irritating!

Narration is very poor.
