Easton
Some men ruin you slowly. Others break you all at once. Jace was never supposed to be in my life again. Not after what he did. Not after they took him away. But he's here, standing in my doorway with a smirk that makes my pulse trip and my gut clench.
He needs a place to stay. I should slam the door in his face. Instead, I let him in. Enemies. Exiles. Rivals. Lovers? This isn't a love story. This is a disaster waiting to happen. And I can't wait for the impact.
Jace
He wants me gone. I want him begging. Let's see who wins. Easton never knew what to do with me. He wanted to fight me. He wanted to kiss me. Now that I'm back, he's still pretending he can resist. Cute.
But I know him too well. I know the way his breathing changes when I get close. I know how his body reacts before his brain can catch up. I know exactly how to break him. And I will.

Not what I expected!

When I started this book, I was expecting the normal hockey romance and angst the sport brings. Instead, I found an emotional and devastating love story about two men who were pitted against each other. Two men who were robbed of the love parents should give their kids.
Jace had always been rejected by those who were supposed to love him. Easton coming into his life only made things worse for Jace to get their parents’ attention. Easton was the perfect son they wanted and Jace only became a nuisance.
My heart broke for the injustice of it all. All Jace wanted was to be loved by his parents but the more he tried, the most he failed.
Easton knew letting Jace back into his life was a mistake. But he also knew he couldn’t live without him. All those years apart only made him want Jace more.
There was so much hate and resentment between them that they shouldn’t have worked. Yet being together was what they needed to start healing. To let go of the past that shaped them for better or worse and finally build a future together.
Jace being Easton’s protector even when Easton hated him, just showed how much Jace loved him. He was willing to do whatever it took to make sure Easton was safe.
It’s my first time listening to Silas and I really liked him. I loved how he captured each character so beautifully.
I’m not sure if I’m ready for the rest of the series if they’re gonna be like this😅 But I’m a big girl. Bring it on, Hayden!😆
So much heartbreak

EDGE OF TEMPTATION takes us on Easton and Jace’s journey within The Saints of Westmount U universe.
After seven years apart, Easton and Jace are in the same place again, and original lines are about to become blurry and new lines are going to be drawn.
Easton and Jace are tension-filled and have the potential to be explosive, and not in a good way, but thanks to their mutual obsession with each other from the past, their explosiveness becomes what makes them the couple they are.
Although I enjoyed the grittiness and the forbidden fruit aspect of this book, the book felt unfinished and like it needed a lot more to it. I am looking forward to diving into this series and seeing where it goes.
Silas Hart was a great choice for the narration of this book, as he has the grittiness to his voice that keeps you rooted in the story.
