The narrator ruined this series for me. This will be the last book I listen to in this series. She was awful!!! It was hard to absorb the story with her terrible voices and the speed variation throughout the whole thing. I found myself wanting it to just be over.

Love the story and writing but miss Carla Merca Meyer as the narrator. She had a better Ellie voice.

After 11 books of Karla Mercer Mayers’ narration, this was excruciating to hear. This narrator is monotonous at best, bad sound quality, and poor control on tone, intensity, and volume, zero ability to show emotion when it mattered. Hard to understand at times, she gets better by the end, but to be honest, I couldn’t understand what really happened is some parts of the story. Never knew who was talking. Save your credits, get the ebook and have a bot read it to you, I bet you’ll get a better experience. I’m a fan of this series, it is sad the quality of the audiobook was lowered precisely when we are about to find closure to Anton Clay’s story!

I have to be honest, I enjoyed the previous narrator so much more. Carla Mercer-Meyer did an amazing job bring the story to life and you could tell the different characters with in the story. Unfortunately, the new narrator does not do as well she is so, so.
