The narrators voice is so grating and annoying that I simply can’t continue it. Bummer. I had heard the story was good, but I can’t find a way to sink into the story. Sorry.

I am on the road a LOT, I go through a LOT of audible books. Dr. Melink hit a home run with her first book in this series. She was able to bring her professional knowledge keeping things true to reality while weaving a griping story that kept me excited to get back in my truck and on the road so I could listen to more. I was definitely left ready for more in this unique and exciting new series!

It’s essentially a noir detective novel, but with interesting twists since the protagonist is a medical examiner. Well worth the listen!

At first, I was not sure I was going to like it, but it started to pick up so I was glad I stuck with it. The narrator was very good!
