I binged the first 4 books a month ago and was stoked to see the finale finally dropped!

It’s a feel-good end to a great story. The plot and conflict is well structured and gives enough weight to the bad guys’ plots and motives while also painting them in a realistic, human light with shortcomings and failings. It’s heavy where it matters but keeps it light with good forward momentum to move the plot along.

I started this series shortly after the previous book became available in audio so I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this finale but it totally lived up to my expectations and was well worth the wait. I’m just jealous of anyone who has just started the series and is able to binge the whole thing.

I absolutely loved this whole series and this final book really was wonderful in the way it wrapped everything up. I don’t feel like there were any loose ends and it certainly wasn’t predictable.

I’d have loved for the book to have been longer and for there have been a bit more to the investigation after the team all came together to figure things out, but it didn’t feel rushed and the story felt complete.

I would love to have some spin-off series in this world perhaps where we focus on some of the side characters like Freddie & Mal or Quinn & his husband.

And Sam please, please, PLEASE write more shorts from Fluke’s POV!!! I’d even love to read something longer from Fluke if it’s anything like the short I’ve already read.

I thought Zachary’s narration was wonderful as always.

So if it wasn’t clear from what I’ve already written I highly recommend this whole series.
