Cupid has terrible aim.
Valentine’s Day should bring romance, flying hearts, and one quiet dinner with Anna Albertini’s sexy, secretive boyfriend, Aiden Devlin.
Instead, Anna gets a misplaced Cupid, a gang of thieving arrow shooters, and a murder charge against Nick Basanelli, her stubborn almost-brother-in-law.
At least, she hopes the charge is bogus.
With Aiden hiding something, the Albertini family launching its own investigation, and danger aiming straight for Valentine’s dinner, Anna has to save Nick, crack the case, and survive the season of love in one piece.
Hey, miracles can happen.

Well, I have to start out by saying that I am a very big fan of pretty much anything Ms. Zanetti writes. I have truly enjoyed the Anna Albertini Files. It is such a uniquely funny storyline with a very quirky attorney who seems to ALWAYS find herself in the middle of some CRAZY situations. When I say crazy - I mean that she has been shot (by both guns and by arrows), been kidnapped, she has had dead bodies dumped in her office), So yes....she does find herself in some crazy situations.....much to Aidan's chagrin) This book is no different.
I also will say that I enjoy Anna as the FMC and honestly, and I really like her with Aidan, even if Aiden tends to "go over-protective alpha" on her at times. All of the secondary characters have developed and fleshed out so well throughout the last 5 books, so we now have several fully developed characters that each have their own quirks and traits.
With all of that being said, this book was not my favorite. Did I enjoy it? Yes, actually it is SO crazy, that it's hard not to find things amusing. BUT....and here is the but.....the case itself was the weakest yet in the series. One of the things that makes this series so compelling is that there is usually a serious plot/storyline going on (hence Anna's involvement) and these cases have been interesting, and challenging while we try to figure out the "whodunnit" part of it.
This book has two separate storylines going on at the same time - with Anna being involved in both of them, but when we get to the reveal at the end.....let's just say that I thought, "WHAT?" I mean, yes, if you squint your eyes and try not to think too hard...yes, it can kind of makes sense, but for the most part, it was just too wacky. (Hmmm, that's a sentence I don't think I'd thought I'd put in a review)
Anyway, not going to beat a dead horse because I DID like it. This is another funny, fast paced story that is easy to read/listen to. You do not need to invest too many brain cells while reading or listening and it leaves you with that HEA feeling at the end. S
I think I actually just talked myself up a quarter star! Looking forward to book 7 :)
A fun and easy read/listen
