Leticiel was born as a princess in a time of war and was hailed as her nation’s Greatest Sorceress. After suffering a devastating loss during an invasion by a neighboring country, she gave up her life to prevent the enemy from stealing her magical powers—or so she thought.
Until she wakes up and finds she’s been reincarnated a thousand years in the future. Not only that, but the body she’s transmigrated into belongs to a truly pitiful woman despised even by her own family. There are many things for Leticiel to be angry about, but number one on her list:
Why is magic in the future so lame?

good. Nothing bothered me like sound effects and what not. I'm definitely going to read the manga now.
I really liked it, I hope they continue recording the other volumes.

This story is very simplistic, and that's fine. It is a light novel so I expect and welcome that. My only real problem with the story is that it wasn't very well thought out and frequently inconsistent or self contradictory. It felt like the author didn't really pay attention to the world, it's backstory, or even what he had written a few sentences back. I'm guessing this was originally a web serial that was written mainly stream of consciousness in short spurts with little to no planning or outlining.
In addition, the dialogue and how people reacted to the main character, especially with regards to the things she didn't know that she should, or did know that she shouldn't, was often extremely awkward and sometimes just plain nonsensical.
Despite all that, I did enjoy it. The main character was a calm, stoic person that I actually quite liked. And the story, while a bit untidy, was still interesting enough to hold my attention. So ultimately, it could have been better executed but it was still worth listening to. I'm even looking forward to the next installment. It must be magic... or perhaps sorcery.
Cute, Simplistic, and Inconsistent
