This is a cute story but this first book is a little hard to handle because our sweet, shy, little Monica gets steamrolled quite a bit.

I think I actually prefer the anime adaptation over this written form, believe it or not, and I'm not sure listening to this adds much to the story if you have already seen it. I think maybe there is more insight into the Second Prince, but other than that I almost felt (weirdly enough) that the anime had better pacing to it and more charm.

The narrator has a suitable voice but isn't great. She does well when voicing characters but her narration has pauses after every few words and she also reads very slowly. Listening at 1.2X helped a lot and I soon got used to it, though.

Absolutely amazing, deserving of 5 stars, the only issue I have and it is such a minor issue is that the reader doesn't do male voices well, but that isn't enough to take away from the story.
