Love the story! Love the characters. Laughed out loud at several descriptions of Rowena. I’m excited there’s a second book in the grouping. Going to listen to it right now. Also that the narrator was excellent.

I chose to listen to this because I was looking for more books read by Eva. I was pleasantly surprised by Fern’s character building for the core cast. My one wish would be for slightly less flat antagonists, but I wasn’t expecting deep literature when I added this to my library and the story was a fun ride anyway.

I listen to a lot of Victoria Laurie, Molly Harper, Blackwell Cates, Carrell, Cooperman, Faith Hunter and of course Charlene Harris(love her Shakespeare series, and grave series the most which are all in the paranormal category? and Its really funny that I was thinking that I was possibly listening to one of them especially my favorite first 2 .... but it was Fern Michaels whom my incredible Aunt that passed away in 2014 introduced me to her series, that I absolutely loved and continued to listen too. When I relisten to your series it always brings back fond memories of my aunt who was also an incredible watercolorist that lived in Colorado ❤️❤️❤️ This is a great light paranormal book which educates you a little bit but isn't overwhelming. No offense but Faith Hunter was one of my favorite authors but when she switched and got more into the demon world, it just got to cluttered and complicated for my aging brain🫤. And sometimes authors try to explain too much in detail the vest amount of paranormal terminology and subject matter. So again this was an incredibly enjoyable book (this is the second time I've listened to it ), with great characters she develops, as well as a Ever changing plot with adjust right amount of romance. I enjoyed the fact that I couldn't figure it out ahead of time, as she continued to waive her story.
I look forward to more in this series. Again I really hope Fern  enjoys writing, as much as we enjoy reading her books. Y'all stay safe happy healthy and Whole w whatever you choose to do❤️
