This heartwarming and swoon-worthy second chance romance about childhood friends reconnecting as adults is the highly anticipated debut novel from YouTube creator Haley Pham.

Blair and Declan were inseparable growing up—best friends who knew each other better than anyone else. But when an impulsive kiss took them from friends to something more, everything changed. Just as quickly as their romance started, one moment shattered it all, leaving them with nothing but heartbreak and silence.

Now, four years later, Blair is back in their coastal hometown of Seabrook to support her mom and care for her great-aunt Lottie as her health declines. To make ends meet, Blair applies to work at a coffee shop—only to discover it’s managed by none other than Declan. The boy she loved. The boy she lost. The boy who still makes her heart race.

As Blair’s path keeps crossing with Declan’s, old wounds resurface, secrets are revealed, and sparks reignite. But could their future ever be free of their past?

Told in dual timelines that unravel the magic and pain of first love, Just Friends is a moving, romantic story about second chances, the weight of dreams, and finding your way back to the people who feel like home.

I never really read like at all. Last book I read was for a high school class. But I watch Ryan on YT and loved the plug in the 50 states in 50 days series. Waited a while for it to come out but worth the wait. I’m not a romance type at all but I’m inspired to write a story of my own as I caught myself fan-ing about the events in this story. Thank you Haley and good luck with your future work.

Haley grabbed me from the first page. Her descriptive language and ability to pull the reader in; you'd be surprised to find out that this is her debut novel.

The ups and downs the main character Blair goes through are reminiscent of a real life young adult these days. Her story mirrors my own and I related with it deeply. There is a particular portion of the book where someone has to deal with a profound loss and Haley describes this so accurately that it makes me wonder if she was describing a personal loss she herself went through.

I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for her next book!

Just Fabulous!

It took me a few chapters to get the gist of the writing style but overall I found this story to be very endearing. I very much related to the grief Blair experiences and the hardship of keeping friendship post college. I enjoyed the internal conversations about being more honest with boundaries and having vulnerability with others.

This is a lovely story and as a debut it holds so much potential from this author.

A wonderful debut

After watching Ryan and Haley traveled the country last summer I was so excited to read Haley’s book. The story read like a Hallmark movie…a good one. The pictures of death and grief were portrayed very well and the love story that intertwined the characters together was beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. The only thing I wished for was for Haley to read it to me. Well, done, girl!

Such a sweet story of grief and love.
