Trust me when I say, this is a special and one of a kind experience. The book itself is masterpiece, but when read by Will Patton it becomes an all time great audiobook. I really do mean that. Thank you to all involved this is a treasure.

This review is for Will Pattons narration for Lonesome Dove, This is my second listen added to my physical readings while watching the movie so many times I know the lines by heart and cry every time. You can't get any better than this. Excellent story, best Western ever!!! Will Patton is up there with George Guidall... non better than them.

The story is timeless and utterly captivating. A proverbial page turner. But Will Patton's performance really is in a league of its own. He made Larry's work come to life and brought out each character's personality so seamlessly, I felt like I knew Gus and Call.

I’ve read and loved Lonesome Dove since it was published. I’ve practically committed the TV series to memory. I named my best dog Augustus McCrea. And last year I took a road trip west from Tennessee, stopped in Ogallala, saw the Yellowstone, and camped in Montana. In short, I’m a HUGE fan.
Will Patton understood the assignment. His narration, his emphasis and reading of phrases, and his natural North Carolina southern accent, make this rendition an absolute treat. I had the Lee Horsely narration in my library, and deleted it. This version is that good.
