I love this author’s writing—each of her books has gotten better and better and I am SO excited to jump into the next. I listened to this one on Audible and the narrator’s voice is super easy to listen to. I binged it in 2 days and it was just a super satisfying suspense read with a great ending, and the characters are all relatable and realistic. READ JL HYDE NOWWWW

Hyde is consistent in her writing small town thrillers, connecting characters, Midwest charm and humor, in a quick engaging storyline that keeps me interested and surprised but not completely horrified. I love it! This one is great to read at the start of fall. All her books are perfect if you love suspense but are maybe a highly sensitive person HSP who could do without tons of gore. This series did not disappoint.

I must say the TikTok reviews were completely wrong. I love who the killer ended up being. There were so many red herrings. It made it so much fun.

My only complaint is, I wish the taste and habits of some of the characters weren’t so basic lol
