What could be worse than having a one-night stand with my twin’s biggest rival on the ice?

Umm…nothing.

Nothing is worse than that.

It’s the reason why my brother can never find out that I hooked up with Maverick McKinnon, ridiculously hot defenseman for the Western Wildcats. It doesn’t matter if the memories from our night together are enough to make my toes curl and my panties—Well, you get the idea.

He’s the first guy to come along and not treat me like I’ll shatter into a million pieces when he lays his hands on me. Even if there’s a teeny tiny part within that would like to see him again, the fallout would be brutal.

I have enough to deal with. Like trying to break out of the box my family has placed me in since my diagnosis.

The only problem?

I’ve lost something valuable.

Something I need back.

And I’m pretty sure whose bed I’ll find it in.

Of Course I listened and read as I’ve seemed to have done with this entire series, and plan to continue to do so. I’m also thankful that the same narrators have been used throughout the entire series, Michael Gallagher, and Jennifer Blom consistently rocket as narrators I can bring the stories to life.
This book followed Maverick and Willow. It had a good start and kept the energy all throughout the story. It was a bit more heartfelt, considering the issues that both his mom and this girl Willow experienced. How their stories aligned but yet we’re so different at the same time. I loved the gentleness, love, and fierce protectiveness that Maverick held for Willow throughout.
You already know the type of story that Miss Jennifer Sucevic can weave so you already know it was interesting from beginning to end. The passion was strong and well and alive people!
All in all, another fantastic addition to this series bringing more and more of the side characters to life, and given them their own stories. This one wasn’t one of my top lessons, but it was still good all all the same because Jennifer just doesn’t know how to write anything but a hit. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Finally, we got Maverick story! A solid 4 star read.

I haven’t finished yet but I am so tired of the pointless and repetitive angst. The story is told he so much better if it didn’t include such ridiculous nonsense.

Annoying angst…

I love Michael Gallagher and he's a favored go-to for Jennifer Sucevic titles so as long as I find the blurb interesting it will end up in my library. Jennifer Boom is also a wonderful performer; I'm just more geared towards male narrators. What I liked about this Sucevic title is one of the main characters has the challenge of being a cancer survivor.

4 starz - worthy of a repeat listen

Predictable, But Enjoyed the Performance!
