It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime, but it’s turned into a nightmare — my son is missing.

My son Cam is going to be a baseball star. He’s only thirteen but this trip is a huge opportunity for him. There are scouts from all the major baseball teams at this tournament. He is the one to watch.

The night before the tournament starts, Cam’s bed is found empty.

Everyone is a suspect.

People are always jealous of him — other kids, other parents. Even his own father.

Anyone could have taken him.

The police start digging into every corner of our lives. They want to know everything about us. Everything about our relationship. Every secret we’ve kept from each other.

They’re going to find out what I did.

I loved this story! It was full of twists and turns that I hadn’t seen coming. Sometimes the character voices were annoying, but overall great story and great performance.

Great plot!

I purchase at least one credit a month and I appreciate that Audible has some free novels. This helps new writers get exposure and helps listeners try out authors. This book was the kind that I listen to while scrubbing the floor or trying to sleep. I would be unlikely to use a credit to hear another by this author. However it was ok for helping pass the time during something like a long commute.

Good Grief, Really??

Why I enjoy so much from this other is the slow peeling back of real people. These character are super REAL and have many flaws. I would imagine this would be the raw narrative in many people’s head. Raw and unfiltered brutal truths. So interesting to read stories like this to see the true aspects of human nature. Plus it’s a fun mystery happening throughout the background. Fun layers of an onion! Love this new author I found . I did find the voice actors a tad annoying though.

Another FANTASTIC peeling back of REAL LIFE and messy families

Quick and satisfying read with a nice wrap up. The very last sentence was a stunner, which is always appreciated.
