At first, I wasn’t quite sure how I’d feel about listening to the book but I actually enjoyed it. This is one the second audible I’ve listened to it. I felt the narrator did Brandy’s story justice. I loved it.

I loved this story when Brandy released it earlier the year. Imma gets to meet 5 amazing men because the owner of the cabin in the middle of nowhere got double booked, and ends up falling for them while on their vacation. I really enjoyed that Brandy had Imma be a bigger girl, very self cautious in the beginning, but embraces her body/image and just goes for it with these men. I really really enjoyed that there was an already established couple that brought her into the fold as well. I really loved Murph, Thatcher, and Evan!! I mean Ollie and Wes were awesome too (Ollie was so funny and I enjoyed his actions and jokes haha). I loved the pedicures, masks, donuts, baking, etc. It was a nice story to pick up and read when I need a little pick me up ❤️

In terms of the narration, I loved Brandy's narrator for her White Trash Trilogy and was a little concerned when she picked a new person for New Year Surprises. I was pleasantly surprised with Rosalie!!! I thought she was adorable and had the perfect tone for Imma. Her little lisp I think made her more endearing, made her narration believable. I wish there could have been a guy for the 5 male characters but thought Rosalie did a good job and didn't try and overdo it by lowering her voice/straining.

I definitely recommend this book and audiobook! Its a novella, so keep that in mind when you are purchasing, but its definitely worth it. I loved it and am super happy to have it in my library to listen to whenever I want!!

I loved this book. It was full of a lot of steamy scenes and you really felt the connection between the entire group. The narrator was ok. Her male voice lacked so it would have been better if it was dual narration. I just wish the book was longer. It would have been nice to see how the group navigated life with growing family.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
“WHAT did you say!!!??? Heck Yes!!!” when Brandy asked if I wanted to read this was my reply!!! I mean RH was awesome but then she threw in some MMF, MM and MFM…..This was like a dream read for any woman!!
Imma is a girl going through some serious stuff. She needs her friends, but they seem to have forgotten the whole “Girl Code” and for different reasons they cancel on a girl trip which is totally not cool. Anyway, Imma packs up and heads to the mountains hoping it will recharge her broken soul to find out it has been double rented…rented to her and her friends AND to 5 hotties who are giving her the hungry eye once overs ALL THE TIME!
Imma and the guys (Evan, Ollie, Wes, Thatcher and Murphy) convince Imma to just hang with them for the time. Well friends that is when everything gets interesting. Let’s just say Imma has some bed hopping fun and a LOT of sex happens between her and the mens!! *wink wink* I won’t ruin it because holy hot tamale do I need to go to church and confess the lust in my heart with reading this book……but yeah its good reading!!
The end of the story we have some conflict and Imma needs to be reminded of who she belongs with and how families care for each other. If you love Brandy like I do, then this novella will be a great little ditty to tide you over until her next book hits our ereaders.
