She’s His One Weakness—And He’ll Burn the World to Save Her.

Niall Black

Loyal right-hand to Finn O’Reilly. Cousin and trusted friend.

He lives for the life he’s created. Filled with business, both day-to-day and dangerous. Not interested in a relationship of any kind outside of his comfort zone.

Until fate brings her to him. Annabelle Lewis.

She awakens something inside him. A need. A desire.

A new set of feelings he wasn’t prepared for.

When she is taken from him, how far will he go to get her back?

To the ends of the earth.

And anyone in his way will be removed.

Permanently.

Niall! My Niall is here!!! I was smitten and in love with him from his first appearance in Finn’s book. And I wasn’t wrong—the man is pure perfection. I love him, oh yes, and he is mine. Melanie knows it. I love how he takes care of Anna. I love how he does everything and anything for her, how he is the sweetest with her and ruthless and grumpy with everyone else. I definitely love him—his possessiveness, protective nature, leadership, love for his mom, and his bond with Finn… again, perfect! His relationship with Finn is pretty amazing; the connection they have it’s like real brothers. The audiobook? Of course I loved it! I’m a John Lane fan forever, and adding that Scottish accent… gosh, it was swoon-worthy. Maxine, as always, did an excellent job. I loved her Scottish accent too. And we can’t forget—I still love Aldo, Roman, and Luca. They are amazing. But I have an important question… can I have Sully’s story too???

Niall is Niall Black and Annabelle (Anna) Lewis’s journey and it’s the second book in the Irishmen Duet. To get the most out of this book I think you need to read the first book Finn where Una is rescued and that being said these morally grey Canadian Irishmen have planted themselves firmly in my heart.
When they rescued Una they also found Anna who was hurt, alone and malnourished and from that moment on Niall’s protective mode kicked in. This man wasn’t looking for a relationship but this woman got under his skin and it’s not long before feelings come go from protecting to loving.
I was drawn in from the first page and there was no putting down until the final line was read. I fell hard and fast for Niall but when I switched to the audio and heard John Lane I became a lot more than just smitten.
John Lane and Maxine Mitchell did a great job bringing the characters and their journey to life. They were spot on with the emotion and the love and they were a pleasure to listen to.
This is a well written, great romance with just the right amount of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages.

Raw and gritty with great narration

If you enjoy mafia romance with action, emotion, and a protective hero, Niall is a great pick. This is the intense and heartfelt finale to The Irishmen Duet, following Niall Black, the loyal right-hand to Finn, as he meets Anna and everything in his life begins to shift.

Their connection forms in the middle of chaos but quickly becomes something deeper. Niall is rough around the edges but deeply caring, and Anna’s quiet strength makes her a perfect match for him. I loved how their bond developed with trust, comfort, and emotional growth. Finn’s playful teasing was a fun touch, and Roman's presence added just the right amount of tension.

The suspense keeps the story moving, while the romance gives it warmth and depth. Anna’s friendship with Una was beautiful and added so much heart. The story closes with a sweet and satisfying ending that fans of the duet will love.
Highly recommend reading both books in order to fully enjoy the journey

ARC ALC Review – Naill & Anna’s Story Had me on the edge of my seat!
I devoured book two! You hear me devoured. I received this as an ALC (Advance Listening Copy) and couldn’t hit play fast enough. I was so ready for Naill and Anna’s story—and it did not disappoint.
Narrated by the always fantastic with John Lane and Maxine Mitchell, this audiobook was an emotional and intense ride. Their talent to bring each character to life—accents and all—added to this series. The Irish touches were perfection!
Picking up after Book One: FINN, we follow the aftermath of Una’s rescue with the help of the syndicate, where Anna and several other women were also saved. This second book shows Anna’s healing process after such trauma, while Naill—who never believed love was in the cards for him—finds himself falling hard. Of course, in true Melanie Moreland fashion, he fights it every step of the way…with plenty of protective, jealous, obsessive swoon-worthy moments.
And what's a Melanie Moreland mafia romance without a dark villain threatening the peace? We get danger, passion, fierce loyalty, and emotional growth. Plus, the story expands to show other couples finding love, and allies being forged within this dangerous underworld.
This book is everything:
• ❤️ Emotional healing
• 💥 Romantic suspense
• 👀 Protective MMC with jealous streaks
• 🎧 Stellar dual narration
• 👨‍👩‍👧 Found family vibes
You will not regret listening to—or reading—this duet.
Trigger warnings apply (this is a mafia romance with kidnapping, violence, and steamy scenes).

Niall Black be still my heart

I have been a longtime reader of Melanie Moreland and love all her books. With each of her books, I think they are my favorites. With Niall, just like with Finn before, I am reside to the reality that each book will be my favorite.

Niall is definitely my favorite of the two Irishmen novels, which is saying a lot. Listen to John Lane in the scenes when both Irishmen were speaking was just pure genius! I never got confused as to whose voice I was listening to. Both speaking either their Irish accents, but both distinctive! What a talent! John and Maxine made this experience a greater than I could imagine!

The Irishmen are now my favorites
