Three months ago Marissa had the best night of her life at her best friend's wedding. The man was confident and sexy, but the next day he was gone and she never heard from him again. On the first day of Marissa's new job, she finds out her married boss is the man she had the best night of her life with. Apparently he hasn't stopped thinking about her either.

I don't typically like reading books with the cheating trope, but this was an exception. Chris's wife was so horrible. I didn't like how she treated him. She wanted to take him for all he had and ruin his life. I don't condone Chris's behavior. He should of divorced his wife before he decided to cheat on her. So he is at fault for that.

The audiobook captures Chris and Marissa's dynamic. Performed in dual narration by Monique Ryerson and Connor Crais. These two blew it out of the park. Monique is a new to me narrator. She exuded Marissa's fun and easy going nature. Her male voice matched Connor's voice in tone. Connor as always gave a phenomenal performance. He portrayed Chris's confidence and charming personality so well.

If you like taboo romances you will love this book. There's so much angst, tension and lots of mutual pining. The time they were separated I thought helped with their relationship. It helped them decide if they still wanted to be together after everything. Overall, I really enjoyed this one!

Connor Crais & Monique Ryerson did a phenomenal job of bringing Chris and Marissa to life! EXCELLT narration!
This was my first QB Tyler novel and it won’t be my last! Cheating is usually not a trope I enjoy reading about, but QB Tyler wrote this so well!! She did a great job with conveying Chris and Marissa’s thoughts as they worked through this difficult situation together and navigated their rocky start. LOVED THIS ONE!!
