Not what I thought it would be but it was still good. Who doesn’t love a growly Jason Clarke. Samantha Brentmoor was so funny and brought Diana to life. Wish it was longer but you do get a full story.

Something’s terrifying Diana’s small town, and the only way to make it stop is sacrificing a virgin to whoever is doing it. Which is how Diana finds herself tied to a tree and at the mercy of "the beast."
But Ike is no beast. He’s just a big man who lives by himself in the woods after his parents died. He’s so used to being alone that his world stops when he sees Diana. Feeling instantly drawn to her, he vows to keep her safe.

The chemistry between them is on point, and so is the want. While they’re both inexperienced, Diana is not a clueless virgin, and Ike’s questions and doubts literally had me laughing out loud.

Samantha Freaking Brentmoor! She excelled in Diana's monologues, portraying her sass and her bravery and showing her funny side in her comments. Her understanding and caring tone in the tender moments, when Diana sees Ike for who he truly is, was flawless.

Jason… I don’t really know what to say, and that doesn’t happen often. His inner monologues and the way he, ahem, takes directions and listens to Diana's "definitions" killed me! And the growling! I won’t say I blushed because I’m not the blushing kind, but almost! And the tenderness with which he speaks about his tiny human… My. Heart.

This audiobook had it all!
If you’re wondering about the smutty bits... it’s a Jessa Kane book! And Samantha and Jason bring on the heat!

This is fast but packs some feeling. Ike’s marketable skill is… Well, all of it. He’s protective and says the sweetest things. And the way Diana sees right into his huge heart and how protective she is of him too were beautiful to listen to.

I couldn’t put it down. It's an awesome audiobook that really shows you what voice acting is all about, done by two of the best out there.
It’s heat with heart and an HEA that was more than worth it.

I love the beast and the man. Everything you are.

These actors are the chefs kiss. I laughed so much during this for the ridiculous story. The only way to enjoy this is the audio version. If I were to read it, it would probably be dnf. But I enjoyed it so much.

This was a short fun read. Honestly I get why so many people criticized it but at the same time hellooooo this is a story of a man that grew up in the forest on his own so of course the way he talks will sound “cringy” I honestly didn’t find it cringy at all I loved it and I laughed too may times.
