He’s the hottest man I’ve ever seen.

And then…he speaks.
And I realize who he is.

The world knows him as John Brandt—the genius billionaire tech entrepreneur and investor. I have always thought of him as my brother’s annoying, nerdy best friend. He pulled my pigtails and called me Tiny Dancer. I put rubber snakes in his sleeping bag and called him Johnny B. Nerdballs.

Now he needs a pretend girlfriend for an important business trip to England, New York, and our hometown. Says he doesn’t want to bring someone he’d have to make an effort with and he thought of me. He can help me with my ballet career, but more importantly, I was hoping to bring a cocky rich guy to his knees this summer. Everybody wins!

He may still be a nerd in the streets, but he has optimized his firmware performance between the sheets.

Every time he opens his mouth, I can’t believe this guy’s for real.

Every time he touches me, I have to remind myself that this relationship is fake.

*This Revised Edition of Sexy Nerd is a complete rewrite of the original Sexy Nerd that was published in 2018. It is over 20,000 words longer than the original version. The general structure and main characters of the story are the same, the best parts are still here, but many details and plot points have been updated and expanded.

so funny, so sexy, just brilliant. Jason Clarke singing... amazing. there were ao many good 1 liners in this. I dont know where she came up with them. these characters were so good. there wasn't really a 3rd act breakup (but try and tell that to John, my goodness) so that was good. I love how confident Olivia is. she was just herself no matter what. John had the harder time being himself but that made sense considering his upbringing and his social skills. he had confidence too but in different ways. he knew he was smart and he knew he was hot. he knew she would listen to him in the bedroom. it was the other stuff they struggled with.

this was just a really good book. it was also sweet in a lot of ways. it was a duet hybrid. they each voiced characters of the opposite sex but not every character in their chapters. for example. Jason voiced John, Nathan, both fathers and the rich old guy. but he also voiced his executive assistant, Agnes. I think there were a couple other female characters he voiced too but I can't remember their names. he voiced them no matter whose chapter it was.

now you can tell there are some politics at play in this book. they subtly trash Elon Musk dispite John being a lot like him and Elon doing a lot of important work. he just doesn't have the "right" perceived political affiliation. She literally talks crap about X but also didnt talk crap about Twitter. Same company, same platform but owned by two different people at two different times. make it make sense.

this is worth buying. it was a lot of fun. I read it in 1 day. stayed up until almost 2am to finish it because I couldn't put it down.

this book is brilliant

First of all, I love Jason Clarke as a narrator, but he was totally IMHO wrong for this role. He was to dark too intimidating, and as I finished the book, I realized that John aka JonnyNerdballs was on the spectrum somewhere. Genius, with no ability to express himself in an emotional way… loving but not knowing or not comprehending how to do so. He loved Olivia from the moment he saw her… and in his own way deducted how to make sure she would be in his life. I didn’t especially care for Olivia’s responding so quickly to his advances… but I guess there had been unrequited feelings on both sides… I’m not sure why the author added so much to this already written book, but I didn’t hate it… I just thought there were many places where is was left scratching my head. The ending conflict was really disjointed… I still can’t decide if he was allergic to the dog, had the flu, or had a total emotional breakdown/breakthrough.

Interesting story
