I was hooked me right away with its mix of medical suspense and emotional tension. Tessa’s sudden health crisis lands her in the care of Dr. Blake Morrison—her brother’s best friend—and as her condition worsens, it becomes clear something more complicated (and possibly dangerous) is going on. The mystery surrounding her illness kept me engaged, and as more of her past comes to light, the story gains even more depth. The Sinners group chat added some fun, lighter moments, and the found family element really stood out—these characters genuinely show up for each other in meaningful ways.

Brooke Bloomingdale and Aiden Snow elevated the entire experience. Brooke brought a lot of emotion and authenticity to Tessa, while Aiden delivered Blake’s intensity and protective nature perfectly. Their performances complemented each other well and made the story feel immersive.

If you enjoy romance with a strong suspense element, compelling characters, and engaging audio performances, this one is definitely worth a listen. I’m looking forward to continuing the series. 🎧📚

Okay so I started with Power and NEEDED to go back and start from the beginning which lead me to reading Crash! Omg there are ZERO regrets here! He is obsessed with trying to figure out what’s wrong with her and being there for her. She is just trying to survive and live, while fighting her feelings for him. This was by far so amazing! And I’ll add Power was just as good! I can’t wait for what is going to come next within this series, because lord these men don’t do anything half way and I’m here for it!
The narration for this is amazing, they kept me completely engaged in the book and their voices fit to how I thought the characters would sound.

This is my first book by Kathy Lockheart and I have been wanting to read this one since it released. I am glad that I waited for the audio of this one since I could listen to it.

This story is a little all over the place with the plot and they medical mystery. But that is what I liked about it. I haven't read many books like this one and it was a nice change for me.
Blake and Tessa have this undeniable attraction and it is one that they can't fight. The way Blake cares for Tessa when she needs someone is sweet. The way he protects her is even better. I liked that about him. He doesn't let many people in and she always had a place in his heart.
Tessa is a business owner and when she starts not feeling well, it becomes harder and harder to stay afloat. She doesn't want to rely on anyone and I loved that about her. Even though she was wishy washy at times, I felt like she had a good head on her shoulders.

When listening to this audio, I was totally invested! This is done duet style by Aiden Snow and Brooke Bloomingdale. I really love the way Aiden portrayed Blake with his gruff voice. It definitely captured the stoney demeanor of the character. Brooke was great at Tessa and her voice hit the character perfectly. I felt both narrators were really good with this story and all the ups and downs and push and pull.

I really enjoyed this story and the characters. I will wait for the second book to come to audio.

I couldn’t stop listening, no part of me wanted to stop listening. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing this emotionally vibrant, addicting, impossible to put down book down to life. It was impossible to walk away from these characters and the story woven around them. My only negative is that it ended and I will never again be able to listen with new ears and experience everything for the first time again.

And that ending 🫠
