This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
A small town in Virginia is blindsided by the military's latest viral experiment, classified as Project Anubis. While tactical teams are sent in to handle the mess, civilians must fight to survive in the midst of what they perceive to be an outbreak of bloodthirsty werewolves.

This is a 2023 rewrite of the 2016 novel of the same name, featuring entire pages of new material, deleted dialogue, abridged narrative, altered scenes, interactions, and the correction of technical inaccuracies for a more realistic, but still engaging, immersive, dramatic reading experience.

I did not like the automated reading. it's very distracting when pronunciations are incorrect. There is no inflection.

good story. Fast moving.

I loved the intensity of the story, it jumped right in and didn’t draw out. The only thing that would have made it better would be an actual person narrating. I think a lot of the emotion was missed using AI narration. It would also catch me off guard and throw me off when a name, emotion or word was mispronounced.

Great werewolf story

I cannot appreciate a book read in virtual voice. I enjoyed the story, etc but could not completely be absorbed because of the lack of inflection and sincerity that AI fails to achieve. I’ll read this book for you if you need a cheap alternative.

I absolutely hate how the AI narrators reads. Everyone sounds the same, there are no change in tones or afflictions and you don’t get the real emotions behind the story. It ruins the story

I hate the AI narrators

I liked that it was a different take on a worn storyline, however, i thought much of the dialogue was unnecessary and unrealistic at times

Too much going on
