IVY:

I'm the queen of handling tiny tyrants—I've been nannying since the era of bedtime bribery. But there’s no guidebook for living with Dublin’s most notorious grump and widower—my brother’s brooding best friend.

Mr. Tall, Dark, and Tortured isn't just a challenge; he's a full-blown occupational hazard.

Under his icy shell, a fierce fire burns. Every fleeting touch ignites an attraction so intense it’s impossible to fight.

He's broken.

And I'm compelled to fix him.

But who will fix me afterward?

Because if my brother discovers our forbidden fling, it won’t just be fireworks—it'll be an inferno the size of hell.

And that’s before Caelon's shadowy past comes bulldozing back into our lives...

CAELON:

I live for two things: my kids and a relentless pursuit of revenge for the love of my life.

Tragically, I'm failing at both.

Then Ivy Winters, my best friend's sassy little sister, blazes into my world in search of a job and a fresh start. And while she's babysitting my children, I'm stuck with a promise to her brother to keep an eye on her.

But Ivy defies my rules.

Challenges me at every turn.

And somehow, she manages to ignite a spark that threatens to melt the ice surrounding my heart.

But just as I start to see the possibility of a life beyond my pain, the past comes knocking, demanding its due.

Now, I'm faced with the ultimate choice: revenge or redemption…

Story - ❤️❤️❤️❤️.5
Spice - 🌶🌶🌶
Narration - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Redeem Me is book #2 in The Beckett Brothers series. We were introduced to Caelon in book #1 and he was the devoted husband/father to his wife, but the cliffhanger was a car accident. No surprise that Caelon is now a dark, tortured, and widower single dad, living with guilt, and an ice cold heart. Ivy is "the child whisperer" and loves being a nanny, but her family is always pushing her to get a "real" job. She is sunshine, he is darkness and despite their age-gap AND that she is his best friend's sister, he can't deny the physical attraction. I loved everything this story has to offer - grumpy/sunshine, age-gap, forbidden, forced proximity, intrigue, banter between the brothers, and a dirty-talking single dad that keeps it steamy between the sheets! Yes, yes, and YES!

The duet narration by John Lane and Betty Black is incredible! John Lane is a top 5 narrator for me, so add that sexy, growly Irish accent to Caelon's broody self and yes daddy, it's a winner. Betty Black is a new narrator for me and she did Ivy's character proud. I will definitely be looking for more from her. Loved this duo. 5/5 stars! 🌟

This series makes me happy. I love the story, the banter, and the characters. I love how the Beckets are so complex yet committed to the women they love! I cannot wait to listen to the entire series! Ivy and Caelon have a dynamic that’s easy to picture myself. The simplicity of possibilities makes the read all the more enjoyable!

I really like the ebb and flow of the books. I connect well with the characters.

Hey everybody and welcome back to another audiobook review today. We are talking about redeem me. This is the second book in the Beckett Brothers series. I originally thought that this book was gonna be a dark mafia romance. Turns out it wasn’t but I still had a great time listening to this audiobook. The story revolves around Caelon, he is a multi billionaire who wants a whiskey business, along with a chain of hotels, and Ivy, who is his best friend Little Sister and his new nanny for his two kids. I absolutely love the single dad/Nanny trope I always think it’s one of the best kind of like forbidden romances as it can get, especially now with the little twist that this is his best friend little sister so by bro code that means she’s automatically off-limits. I had absolutely loved the narration of John Lane and Betty Black. I thought that John Lane Irish accent was very on point well done, I don’t think he could’ve done it any better it was phenomenal. This was actually my first time getting to listen to Betty Black and she absolutely was phenomenal as well especially with her Irish accent. I don’t think it could’ve gotten any better in that with her as well. She knocked it out of the park with this performance as Ivy. If you were somebody who loved the good girl effect, you love the single dad/Nanny trope, that forbidden romance, age gap I highly recommend that you come check out this book. It’s an absolutely amazing story, from Caelon being this widower, thinking that his life is over and now his new nanny Ivy has basically brought him back out shell and he’s able to feel, able to spend time with his children like he used to and it’s just a wonder redeeming story!

Love the Single Dad/Nanny Trope

Whoa momma! I blew through this audiobook. I absolutely loved the first one and knew I would love this one as well. Lindsey’s writing is so phenomenal that I might just be in love with her!

If you love a best friends little sister, single dad, nanny trope, check this one out!

John Lane is always a pleasure to listen to and I really enjoyed listening to him as a single dad. He was brilliant.

Betty Black was a first for me and I really enjoyed her! You could tell she was having fun as well.

Hot hot hot

Redeem Me is book two in the Beckett Brothers series and is performed in duet by Betty Black and John Lane. Betty is new to my ears, and John Lane has become a timeless favorite of mine. They are a great casting for the characters Ivy and Caelon.

Ivy and Caelon have a lust-filled evening at a club, only to find out that Ivy is the new nanny hired on to care for Caelon’s young children. He’s a widower and has been plotting revenge in honor of his late wife, and Ivy is the much younger sister to his best friend.

Betty is all-consuming as Ivy and I couldn’t get enough of her performance. She is effervescent and flirty, a perfect combination for a woman who is secure in her own sensuality and self. Ivy is the kind of character who has a strong sense of self and loves without conditions — she cares for Caelon’s children in a way they crave since losing their mother, and she is also mature enough to handle the likes of Caelon Beckett’s resistance to fully let her into his heart and bed.

John Lane, as always, is commanding as Caelon. His accent lends itself to a man who has been hardened by the terrible hand he has been dealt and is sealed tight with the desire for revenge. As Caelon starts to open up and allow Ivy into all facets of his life it is clear he has the capacity to grow beyond the trauma that has defined him.

I adore this series. I haven’t eyeballed the books; my plan is to experience them through audio. L.A writes with heart and has easily written some of the best spice to cross my earbuds recently. It is well balanced, flirty, and deliciously sinful. Start with book one and you’ll feel yourself transported to the Beckett’s world.

A deliciously steamy single dad/nanny romance
