I enjoyed this book, but didn't notice anything stating it was book 1 of a series. I was looking for a one book read. Now I'm annoyed.

Unfortunately, I thought the female character would have more steal in her. She had potential of being so much more domineering and powerful but end up being so bland. Male character was anything but ruthless, he was just order taking, underdog.

The story as a whole was good but it wasn’t what the title advertised.

Not much of a central conflict, what there is is not solved. I was bored until the last hour and a half.
