I loved this series and glad a third entry was was written to draw it to an end. If this had been narrated by a decent professional reader it would have been so much better. I would love to listen to again in the future if it's re-read by a good narrator. Would also like to see a continuation with the family going back to link up with Alex and her family.

This three book (so far) series is one of the most well written stories in the apocalyptic genre that I’ve listened to. I have listened to many of them. The main character, Val is a police officer and a large part of the plot is him trying to serve and protect the public. He harms people only if absolutely necessary. I’ll put it under my listen to again list. Well done David Hughes. As far as narration goes, yes I know it’s a virtual voice and there are mispronunciations but if I could choose a voice to sound like Sal, it would be the one that was chosen as the AI narrator.
