A lot of the lines were cheesy. Unfortunately this is the 3rd book by this author I have listened to and this seems to be a common occurrence in her books. Also, I am from the south and we don’t do ridiculous nicknames at all like the ones in this book.
Finally, the falling in love was shallow and lacked the feels.

On a positive note: The narration was phenomenal!

This is my first story by this author. Over all I liked most of the story. There were moments where it did not make sense. It put the story on pause before I began to continue the story. I was hoping that Aaron was represented more in the story. Tate as a name for a Russian Mafia guy was not a name I would have chosen. I went into the story blind so do not want to give more details here. I am not sure about this one as some elements were not what would happen in a real situation. I understand that an author can create their own situations but wish it was more realistic in some areas. Melanie was a new to me narrator and I liked her voice.

This book had a little of everything in it, humor, violence, suspense, secrets, and some super steamy moments between Tate and Emily. Overall it was a great story. Aaron Shedlock and Melanie Hastings were absolutely perfect for this book, I enjoyed listening to them bring this intense story to life.

Love it. I swear The more I listen to Sapphire Knight’s audios the more I want. Narrator Melanie Hastings did a great job. And Aaron Sherlock was a nice surprise.
