If you’re familiar with a 12 step program, particularly Al-Anon, much of the information will not be brand new to you. However, the way it is presented is fantastic. This is very easy to understand, with actual things you can do, examples of what to say, and a concise summary of every important message and any other self-help book has stated. Highly recommended if you feel anxious, overwhelmed, resentful, or otherwise feel you could be happier and life could be better

By chapter 5 I could tell this book was absolutely going to change my life, I only wish I this book had been available 7 years ago when my life started to spiral out of my control! Even after my therapist suggested setting boundaries in my life and marriage, I wasn’t able to fully conceptualize what she meant by that until she suggested this book. Now that I’m done listening, I’m going to purchase a paperback of it to keep in my toolbox in hopes that I can start making some real changes and improvements in the quality of my life! I highly recommend every and anyone read/listen to this book, it would be impossible to finish it without gaining something from it. I personally hate self help books but this one really really really spoke to me and ALL my life struggles!

Wow! She really helps put these concepts into phrases and words we can start using, guiding us to build healthier relationships based on fair communication practices. I tell everyone struggling with communication and boundary issues about this book because it has seriously empowered me in my relationships and I'm able to really start embodying my authentic self now. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable haha Having been taught to be a people pleaser, this has given me skillful language to help me say no when something does not sound agreeable to me. So much gratitude for this resource.

This book was an answer to prayer. Dr. Tawwab addresses common boundary issues with simple, concise, easy-to-follow directions. I absolutely loved hearing her voice reading the book on Audible and I decided to buy the Kindle edition as well so I could re-read and highlight key passages. Literally one of the best, most helpful books I have ever read.
