Tad has learned more about his past, but he still doesn't know if one side or the other would imprison or kill him simply for existing. Those who know more refuse to tell him more, but share his concerns.

Now though, it's time to move forward. He may not know what it means to be a fey but his goal remains the same, namely to open a shop and sell magical items.

To get there though, he has a dungeon to master, errant nobles to defy, and the Lawgiver's gaze to avoid.

Chaos is in his blood, and he's certain to bring it wherever he goes.

Its a great continuation of the story so far, the only gripes I have with it are the cover arts should have been swapped for 3 and 4 and that the Mc seemed more like a pov character in a lot of the fights but it was a great for the deeping of the Mc's background, it was also nice to see a lot of loose ends tied up!

Great Continuation

What are you doing putting a wyvern/dragon on the cover of the book for. One only shows up in the epilogue for maybe a minute. 😂

Love the story BUT

There's a declined lack of tension, even in moments that have been building up for three books. The reunion with the two remaining kidnappers felt really flat to me. As characters, they are so one dimensional, I had no reason to be invested in them and their big show down felt completely inevitable.

The narration continues to be fabulous 👌 and it's a big part of why I've continued the series. Hopefully the next book changes the direction of things 🙏

Also, why is there a wyvern on the cover ? The name of the book also doesn't really match the story 😕 🤔

Feeling a bit underwhelmed

I really like the books and can't wait for the 3rd one. the only thing I don't like is chapters devoted to going over Tad's stats for 40 minutes.

little much

This author continues to put out book after book of great stuff. I’ve read just about everything he’s done and I like it all. This is just another example of his great work. I recommend reading all of his books.
