Jade has spent her life fighting boredom in the terminally ill ward. Surfing the net or reading, she always envied the ability of others to go out and experience the world. She knew her wish to live a normal life was far beyond her reach, but after waking up one morning without the sounds of her life support, she opens her eyes and finds herself with a weak but healthy body in a magical world.

As blue gamelike system notifications fill her vision, she knows she'll have to adapt quickly in order to survive, but this is all she ever dreamed of, so Jade is up to the challenge. She will soon realize that you need to be careful what you wish for.

This is Andara, where her true adventure finally begins.

This book is just plain fun. While a lot of books in the genre go dark and gritty, Siphon makes a sharp turn to avoid that path.

Jade is a young woman who has a debilitating condition. She rarely has energy to move and relies on the hospital to keep her alive. Suddenly, she wakes up in a fantasy world with game like skill mechanics.

She gets the ability to Siphon the skills and attributes of anyone she touches. This lets her grow her skills and body quickly, but at a price. This actually brings up my only complaint about the book. Jade quickly gets a rather long list of skills. They will then be listed wth their skill level and percentage into that skill level. It can take a bit as the narrator goes through it. Other than that, fantastic book! I’m looking forward to the next!

I'm a gamer and like story with some challenge. The characters were interesting, but I wanted some consequences. it might come to that in the story, but if there is little consequence, With no challenge, I'm not as thrilled.

When I listen, I hope to hear different voices, and I don't have a problem with women doing voices, but if a man or woman speaks I like to try to hear a difference, and I was pressed to hear a difference on characters.
Also, not often thrilled of, poof character appears in new place, which often happens in litrpg...

slight spoiler...

are you kidding me? royalty has no problem with her yet? She will be an extremely powerful traveler who will leave their power way behind her in days. Any royalty would fear her to high hell, even if they are buttering her up. They found out too fast that she will learn all spell types, and they'll never keep her under control... plus her magic and luck grow so quick without them knowing how. if the royals didn't know she was lying about everything, their skills and power have been useless.

interesting story, but it feels way easy mode...

to begin, this is an amazing story, and it deserves to be told to everyone.

I very recently had my youngest sister pass away. She also had some disabilities and so I've been hoping she would be happy in heaven, or her next life, or whatever you believe. As I've been listening to this story, I believe my sister would've loved to wake up and live it. The system the writer has created is an open and generous system, and i frequently find myself thinking of what my choices would be. Then, I have to skip back to listen to the story. I love that it brings me into the story so much to do that.

So, as much as I want people to read or listen to the story. I also want to thank the writer for the story. It has brought me peace and happiness in a hard time of my life. I will be recommending your story to my family in the hope it helps and brings them just as much happiness.

This book at least, has made me begin my collection of Jay Boyce's books.

this probably won't ever be seen, but

kind of a shoujo isekai gamelit. shoujo means its for girls, the main character girl has all these hot guys constantly coming to her rescue(not really my cup of tea), isekai means another world, she was an terminal hospital patient, when she dies shes transported to another world where there magic and game like status screens and stuff(which I'm totally down for :), pretty good, entertaining, I enjoyed it despite the heroine getting rescued all the time.
