Having listened to the book, I can say firmly this is less LITrpg and more an isekai fantasy. why this is set as a Litrpg I don't know, but im hoping this helps those wanting to listen to know that first.

That doesn't draw away from the book, not at all. think of this less set in a game, and more a passable reality to how a normal human being deals with unfortunate and honestly very weird circumstances.

beware as well on hearing the MC deal with identity issues, clear body dysphoria (Hes a guy after all set in an alien female body) and all around moments where you want to cringe (Tea room!) laugh and where you feel really bad for the MC.

Micheal to me is an honest and a relatable character and has his hardships to deal with a plenty. And we will just get more in book 2.

Less Rpg, more fantasy.

Wouldnt know what to complain about, good pacing and positively no real bad guys even with 3 armies at war

Very nice beginning

I wanted to like this book, because I think it had potential. However, I just cannot say that it fulfilled my expectancy.

Light spoilers (also probably nothing you would not expect):
What I liked was the first quarter, when there was mystery and danger, also progression, and Mc looked good, because while lost in a new world, he managed to get by. When the pov was on human, then again, there was a mystery, and what was at a first glance forced conflict actually turned to be another interesting plot point.
Then, the plot seemingly crash landed.
Everyone got lobotomized. Mc most of all. He started as intelligent character, and yet, at later parts, all he does is complain, and cry. He is getting angry at people who are in the right, and support people who do not deserve it, and are most often criminally negligent. I would really like for Mc to sometimes rub both of his brain cells together, and actually come up with something smart.

Heavier spoilers:
Truck did nothing wrong, best boy, I would like him to be the Mc.
For the love of God, Mc, stop crying about laying eggs, you are supposed to be the hero, and the queen.
Hive mind was right, he is a cry baby, and I hope the give mind will take over. Maybe the book would be interesting then.

I was a little hesitant to listen at first, being a title included in the membership helped. I was pleasantly surprised the author did an excellent job in portraying the awkward yet funny idea of a man being stuck in a little hive queen girls body. The thought of a hive queen is what made me hesitant, but he made it work. It was hilarious, action packed and a delight to listen to. The narrator portrayed the characters very convincingly and mad the experience that much more entertaining.
If you’re feeling hesitant like I was don’t be. It’s definitely worth the time to listen to, and I’m definitely using next months credit to purchase the next book in the series.
