‘Delightfully romantic and touching.’ Phillipa Ashley on Sunrise at Butterfly Cove

She wasn’t looking for love…

When Lucie Kennington flees the bright lights of London for the quiet Derbyshire countryside, she’s shocked to discover that the heir to the Bluebell Castle estate is far from the wizened employer she expected.

In fact, Arthur Ludworth might just be the most handsome man Lucie’s ever laid eyes on – and a terrible distraction! So when she stumbles across a legendary painting feared lost for centuries, she can’t believe her luck – perhaps this is the hidden treasure to save Arthur and his family from ruin?

But it’s only a matter of time before Lucie’s past catches up with her and by then it’s too late, she’s falling for him…

Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Rachael Lucas and Hilary Boyd.

I can’t wait for part two! This is a lovely story filled with all the niceties and not-too-stressful twists that make this genre the perfect oasis amid real-world craziness. The only issue I have with this author is that absolutely all of her characters are absolutely, stereotypically, physically perfect. No variety among the broad-shouldered men and the delicate petite women. All of which makes them much less relatable, which is a shame. It’s
Sad that the author cannot present a women (or man) with curves as being beautiful, as others in the genre have managed to do.

Delightful - with one consistent exception

I just cannot finish Spring Skies over Bluebell Castle. I loved Sarah Bennett Lavender Bay Series, this series was happy and really fun. However this book I found depressing and it dragged on just could not finish it.
