Dr. Ben Merrick and his fiancé, Rachel Gardner, can't get her divorced parents to stay in the same room, much less attend their wedding together. He is already looking over his shoulder expecting more trouble from a very senior surgeon who has shown he is still smarting from a previous dust-up, but Ben doesn't know if a series of mishaps and accidents are caused by a disgruntled patient's relatives or represent more from the older surgeon. Complicating it all is the question of whether Rachel's father is back doing drugs. Then, when people start dying, Ben and Rachel wonder if they can escape unscathed - and alive.

At my request, I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Surgeon’s Choice was honestly a breath of fresh air for me. It was extremely well researched, beautifully written, and overall a gripping story filled with mystery. With wholesome characters you couldn’t help but love, it was easy for me to get sucked in quickly. Not to mention the narrator was great! He speaks with just the right amount of enthusiasm and feeling so that the narration did not feel over the top or forced. I was also very impressed by the terminology and detail that went into the medical aspect of the book. It was obvious that the author put forth maximum effort.
The running time is perfect. You get a good solid story without the feeling that it could go on forever and ever.

One of those tales that could actually happen in real life (and has happened). Extra points for genuine believability!

I believe I will be looking into some of the author’s other books.

I highly recommend! 👍🏼👍🏼

this book was an okay story. The narration made filled it with life. While I'm not a fan of this type of story - it held my interest as the plot developed. I will listen to it again, the story demands it.

As usual, Bill Nevitt does a great job bringing out the characters with his narrations. I felt like I got to know the people in this book so it was easy to follow along while trying to guess what was going to happen. There was a lot of behind the scenes with the hospital, patients and doctors. The mystery kept me interested and the references to God and faith was refreshing. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator
