I have completely enjoyed the series. Ok, the voice talent in the theatrical version is corny, but it fits the book in a good way (my wife couldn’t stand it). It’s not deep, it’s not enriching, but it’s funny and there are a lot of laugh-out-loud lines that completely surprised me. I was looking for the book 4 theatrical version and can’t find it. Not out there? Too bad.

All the side stories in conjunction with this massively huge mystery/apocalypse that is ever changing keeps you hooked!! The ridiculously funny characters, the dark humor is so good I’m literally laughing out loud all the time. The themes in this series are so dark but sometimes very relatable through Jack’s thoughts. I feel like Jack thinks what we all think sometimes. There is not a dull moment. Jerry’s sometimes insightful, carefree, let it roll personality is truly Jack’s yang to his yin. Hands down this is in my top 5 favorite audio book series to listen to. Every shade of dark humor, gore, frustration and sarcasm written to perfection JT. The voice cast embodies all the characters and cannot be done better. Makes me want to work in the gas station in my shitty little town!!!

So this story is long game perfection that keeps you guessing, yelling, and laughing out loud!
