I thoroughly enjoyed it, although the end is left a little too open for my taste.

Another hour or two to tie things up would have made it 5*

Enjoy

I was expecting a book as good as "The Appeal" but this one let me down, especially from the fact that there was no moral to the story that I could understand. It felt just like a bunch of events happening and then it was over. I did like some of the personalities in the book though.

Okay I guess

Whilst this story has an interesting premise, and I understand based on an idea from an actual case, this was very disappointing overall for me. This was my first abridged audiobook, and my initial reaction when I finished was that 'abridged' means removing the ending! The story finishes so abruptly without any form of resolution and numerous 'loose ends' just kept open.

Disappointing overall

Having read all of John Grisham books I looked forward with anticipation to listening to one. What a light weight book this is. It would seem that maybe John Grisham is turning out too many books and is turning simple ideas into long drawn out melodramas.
Don't bother.
