This was a short story, an Amazon Original about about a much sought after island vacation with a dark secret. What happens is noted in the description. Story is a good one with excellent, heartfelt narration. I knew what was going to happen, but it was still a good short listen. A quote from one of my favorite shows applies-Stargate SG1, The Nox noted that the very young do not always do as they are told. Paradise isn't all it is cracked up to be.

The Blanks is a short story about a community of privileged people who choose to ignore the eerie inhabitants of their vacation island in order to continue relishing their vacations. It has a Hamptons-like atmosphere where everything seems picturesque, but small details keep slipping through that hint something is wrong. What stood out most to me is that all of this is happening over something optional—this isn’t survival, it’s a vacation home. The horror isn’t just the presence of these beings, but that everyone has already accepted losses—even the loss of people—as an acceptable cost of maintaining their lifestyle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well written, great narrator very entertaining! Excellent for young readers as well, 11 years plus. Grady Hendrix just knows how to creep with the creepy!
