I read this book a while ago but did not get the audio because of the narration. I'll be honest the female chapters are so hard to get through. She sounds monotone and it's almost depressing listening to her chapters. Also she does not have a youthful voice and therefore sounds too old for the college characters. The addition of the male narrator helped the book immensely and luckily after the second book the female narrator is different.

As for the story it's funny, sweet and also sad at times. Both main characters have secrets from their past that still have an effect on them in the present. G is so swoon worthy and just wait until you make it to the locker room scene. I fell in love with him all over again. Hannah is driven and someone you'd want to be friends with.

I wanted to write a review on this book since a lot of people were complaining about the narrorator and I wanted to give my opinion. First, I almost didn't get this book because of the reviews, but decided to go for it anyway and I'm so glad I did. The narrorators voice took me a few chapters to get used to because she starts out sounding older and more valley girlish than you'd image Hannah to be, but after the first couple chapters I realized she's actually an amazing narrorator and the weirdness goes away. She's really entertaining and brings the characters to life. She delivers all the funny lines perfectly and has a lot of emotion while she reads. So I really think this is a great 5 star love story with 5 star narration :) now on to the next in the series!

I loved this story - it ranks up there with my favorite new adult romances. Unfortunately, the talented narrator (I've liked her in other books) is not right for this book. It really detracted from the enjoyment of the audiobook. Other than that though, it really is a sweet love story. I just recommend you read the book rather than listen.

Female narrator drove me nuts. Some seriously weak plot points but easy enough to overlook if you just want a little rom com bop! Definitely some spice- but nothing crazy.

Male Narrator was perfection (as he always is)

The female narrator was painfully awful. If I could return this book, I would. It was that painful to hear her voice. It did not align with the female character in the book.
