For the first time in two hundred years an enemy has stepped foot on American soil and war has come to our cities. The US military is rocked back on its heels and driven into a fighting retreat as each defense line falls. The foe is unstoppable and...Fae. Creatures from a legendary past who have come to reclaim the Earth in the name of magic and revenge.

In the hills of Pennsylvania a ragtag, devastated army prepares to make a last stand against dragon fire capable of melting an Abrams tank and wizardry that stops fifth-generation fighter jets in mid-air. Inevitably it comes down to shining steel versus human will, and Sergeant Oliva Acevedo transforms from a hospital clerk into a hardened fighter.

Volume two of the best selling Fae Wars follows the fighting retreat of the US Army as the Fae establish control of a shattered America.

Overall the story was good although the ending third felt rushed and unsatisfying. It also seemed like the elves became a lot easier to kill in the book versus the first one.

Good

Excellent read, as a combat veteran I have seen the face of war many times, not against orcs and elves(not yet anyway), but combat nonetheless. You captured the soldiers feels, bravery and courage perfectly. Great job!

Thais leg of the series seemed shorter. Guess I’ll be paying for the next book.

Good characters, fun, never a dull moment.

Plot holes remain. Let's just be real brutally honest. The plot holes, which were already massive, grew significantly. HOWEVER, one thing remains the same, the book is FUN. It still inspires the imagination. It still puts you right there, making you think about what you would do. This is not a literary masterpiece. It is just an enjoyably and easy read (or listen).

Still fun
