This book took a while for me to get into the characters. Started off really slow but half way through I started investing more into the characters. By the end of the book I was fully engaged and intrigued by the story. It ended on a cliffhanger so I am downloading the next book to see where this story takes me. Hopefully this first book was building the story and characters and the next book will jump straight into the intriguing plot.

This book nearly drove me bonkers in the beginning….and through the middle.I had a feeling that it was unfolding a very good narrative.However it was taking it’s sweet time by the end of the middle of the book it started to prove me right. It may be the slowest start to a series I’ve ever read but stick with it and you’ll see it ends up a very good story. The ending is sudden and leaves you ready to immediately start the next in the series and I doubt it’s possible for anything else to happen slowly !!!

Great detail and the narrator really gets into character. Plot twists and the balance and power struggle between the classes are a good mix. Immediately starting the next one.
