A wrong turn in a rainstorm leads Englisher Amelia Devries to Michael Hostetler - and the young Amishman's charming Old Order community of Hickory Hollow. Despite their very different backgrounds, Amelia and Michael both feel hemmed in by the expectations of others and struggle with how to find room for their own hopes. And what first seems to be a chance encounter might just change their lives forever.

Would you listen to The Fiddler again? Why?

I would because it was so enjoyable and I liked the insights of Amish culture and seeing the struggles of Michael's decision on whether to join the church and the unknowing suspense of how the book might end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fiddler?

The talk under the tree and how he admired her fiddling.

What does Christina Moore and Andy Paris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved hearing the deeper voice for the male voices but I had hoped for a bit of variety because sometimes if I missed who was talking I wasn't sure which man was talking a d would get confused but I really enjoyed all of their expressional reading

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

At the end I had an overly joyous feeling when she realized it was Michael only dressed as an englischer

Any additional comments?

I loved how they mixed the Amish with the English and brought them together through God. As usual there were tears but not as many as usual. I was able to appreciate how regardless what we call ourselves, if we believe in God we can all come together with love!

Wonderful story!
