I love this introduction to the full Cage family and all of the brewing dynamics. Getting to see some of my beloved characters from other series is one of my favorite parts of the world that Carrie Ann Ryan has created.

This might actually be my favorite Carrie Ann Ryan Book. The prequel started it all with the group text messages which was hilarious. Please read the prequel. You won’t regret it. First I loved the Chapter blurbs. Second dear old dad was an idiot~that’s putting it nicely so my review doesn’t get pulled 😉how does your dad keep another family a secret? The Cages are about to find out. During the will reading two families who lost their dad are actually half siblings and must have monthly dinners in order to ensure their inheritance. Aston finds out that Blakely and his new sister are besties. What could go wrong? This story was very mature in Its navigation between keeping business and pleasure separate. However the more closer Aston gets to Blakely the more his heads gets in the way because he is “The Cage”. This family is definitely going to be fun during family dinners especially as they navigate their new norm. I truly felt sorry for them all. How do you continue with your life that isn’t what you thought it was. Aston had Blakely and as we all know he has to somehow become his own worst enemy. Good thing there are 11 siblings to help even though we know they each must have their own baggage to overcome. I do like that both families have the same mannerisms especially Aston and Isabella. I’m sure as all the other stories come out we’ll see more of this. Two of my favorite Narrators Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke brought these characters to life. They were the perfect fit.

Before I Knew Novella - Omg the first book in the new series. just made me want more. I loved how this came together just a great read to the beginning to a new series. Carrie Ann knows how to get her readers attention.

Excellent first full length book in new series. I seriously enjoyed this. I couldn't put it down. I really loved the characters and their story. So can't wait to read more in this series.

We first met Aston and Blakely in the prequel Before I Knew where their chemistry was off the charts. They met when she was accidentally added to their family chat group.

After a steamy kiss at a gala they both attended and plans to see each other again, Blakely was then ghosted by Aston. When the company she works for loses another deal to Cage Enterprise, her boss accuses her of spilling their secrets and fires her. After three months, she is hired on at Cage Enterprises.

At the reading of his father's will, he finds out his father had a second family giving him five half siblings. Not only are they required to have a monthly dinner with at least two family members from each family, Aston finds out that Blakely is his new sisters best friend. Aston is determined to build a relationship with Blakely despite all the rules his father has instilled in him his whole life; it won't be easy but Aston wants a HEA with Blakely.

A great first book in this new series. Outstanding narration by Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder.

What happens when two people who don't know really what a true relationship is find one another Will the destroy each other or find something they never thought they would get? Get ready for the 1st Cage to find out their is more for them then the legacy they are left with. Amazing story and the narration adds a dimension that will have you hanging on till the last word. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
